... and making some of it public. Right now, we're publishing above our little database of tricky bits of the path – bits that some walkers find unnerving for one reason or another. It mainly includes bits where the path runs close to cliffs, or crosses steep slopes, and long series of steep steps. The map optionally shows the path split points used in the SWCPA 'Official' Guide, to help you figure out what the challenges are on a stretch you are looking at.

 

Please note: this map/database is not and never can be comprehensive. Walkers vary in sensitivity to exposure to drops. New tricky bits are identified all the time, as sensitive walkers explore the path. We run a relevant Facebook group here.
